Quesnel RCMP renew call for tips into missing man case

QUESNEL, B.C. — RCMP continue to search for a man who’s been missing since May.

Andrew Charles Ward has been missing from his home in the Quesnel area since May 9. RCMP say his disappearance is out of character, they and Ward’s family are concerned for his safety.

“Andrew Ward was last confirmed to have been seen alive on May 9, 2020 at approximately 7:20 p.m. when he was at the 4 Mile Store & Coffee Shop located on the Barkerville Highway just outside of Quesnel, B.C., in the company of another individual known to him,” reads a release by BC RCMP.

Ward is said to have departed the store in his grey jeep YJ and was last believed to have been seen heading towards the Pinnacles Forest Service Rd. area.

RCMP are asking anyone who may have seen Ward, his grey Jeep YJ, and/or a dark coloured pickup truck in the area of the Hangman Springs Recreational area and /or the Pinnacles Forest Service Rd. on May 9 to contact Quesnel RCMP at 250-992-9211 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
