Province issues smoke bulletin, predicts hazy weekend for B.C. Interior

VICTORIA — The Province of B.C. has issued a smoky skies bulletin for the entire South and Central Interior.
While smoke from wildfires in the United States has been blanketing southern Vancouver Island for the better part of a week, forecasters predict it will push into the rest of the province over the weekend.
The most widespread impacts are expected on Sunday.
The province says falling temperatures at night may result in inversions over valleys, and that could trap smoke near ground level.
