KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops resident says she’s going to use her winnings from a scratch-and-win ticket to become a former Kamloops resident.
According to a news release from B.C. Lottery Corporation, Tammy Blackie scratched a Lucky Lines ticket purchased at Canco Wash on Tranquille Road and found she had won $50,000.
“I was like, ‘Oh my gosh!’ I could not believe it,” she told B.C. Lotto.
Blackie says she plans to put her new winnings toward a move to Penticton, as well as a new phone.
