Three charged in Shuswap stabbing, two still at large

SALMON ARM, B.C. — The B.C. Prosecution Service has charged three men in connection with a stabbing last month in the Shuswap, and two of them are still on the loose.

According to Salmon Arm RCMP, the stabbing took place in Blind Bay on August 17. A man arrived at a home in the community, bleeding profusely and looking for help after suffering multiple stab wounds.

At the time, investigators believed the incident had taken place at a nearby car wash.

In a news release issued Wednesday (Sept. 9), RCMP say 33-year-old Jordy Kyle Moyan of Kelowna, 36-year-old Alexander Vittal Boucher of Enderby and 40-year-old Terrance Alan Jones of Edmonton have been charged. Each is facing charges of attempted murder, assault with a weapon, aggravated assault and robbery with a firearm. Jones is facing additional charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and use of a firearm while committing an indictable offence.

Moyan was arrested in Chase with the help of the RCMP Southeast District Emergency Response Team.

Boucher and Jones remain at large.

Mounties ask the public not to approach either Boucher or Jones if they see them, but instead to call 911 immediately.
