City of Kamloops to host open houses for North Shore Neighbourhood Plan
KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops has a pair of open houses regarding the North Shore Neighbourhood plan coming up. However, due to COVID-19, those open houses won’t be like previous community engagement sessions.
Jason Locke, Community Planning and Sustainability Manager with the City of Kamloops, says due to the pandemic, the meetings will be capped at 50 people — 45 members of the public and 5 city staffers. The events are scheduled for September 16 and 17 and will take place at the Holiday Inn on Tranquille Road.
“Masks will be mandatory because this is a private facility, but we’ll be handing out masks. There will be sanitary stations, people will be practicing safe physical distancing, we’ll have signs. That’s a way we can ensure we host these events in a safe manner.”
