Ninety new cases of COVID-19 in B.C.; active case count jumps above 800
KAMLOOPS — It has been a troubling 24 hours in the fight against COVID-19 in B.C.
According to a news release from Health Minister Adrian Dix and Deputy Provincial Health Officer Dr. Reka Gustafson, 90 new cases of the virus have been recorded since Thursday (Aug. 20).
Those cases bring the provincial total to 4,915 since the pandemic arrived, spread through B.C. as follows:
- 1,569 (Vancouver Coastal)
- 2,572 (Fraser Health)
- 160 (Island Health)
- 417 (Interior Health)
- 122 (Northern Health)
- 75 (Reside outside of Canada)
