THREE ELLEN PRODUCERS OUT: The Ellen DeGeneres Show is overhauling its production team. On Monday, staffers learned on a conference call that executive producers Ed Glavin and Kevin Leman and co-executive producer Jonathan Norman have been fired following an internal investigation into a toxic workplace. DeGeneres herself reportedly spoke during the call and she apologized again to staffers; her new season will bow September 14. Allegations were first shared in BuzzFeed. (Variety)
ANGELINA JOLIE CONCERNED ABOUT KIDS IN SHUTDOWN: Angelina Jolie is concerned about kids amid all of the pressures of shutdown. She told Extra that her eldest son Maddox is attending Yonsei University in South Korea online, and that classes begin at 6 pm at night. She said she’s most concerned about kids in abusive homes: “teachers who [usually] recognize what is happening to the child and can report it, cannot see the child, so domestic violence is a very big concern.” (Extra)
HILARIA BALDWIN PROMISES TO STOP HAVING KIDS: Alec and Hilaria Baldwin have four children and another on the way, but she tells People “there’s just so much love.” She jokes that while eventually there will be an end to the babies, for now, she’s enjoying every stage. Baldwin adds that “there’s always something exciting going on” and “always people being able to play” with each other. (People)
GLORIA ESTEFAN OPENS UP ABOUT NAYA RIVERA: Gloria Estefan played the late Naya Rivera‘s mother on Glee. She told ET of her unexpected drowning death: “It was a brutal loss. She was the nicest, warmest person. A lovely girl [and] triple threat. I send a lot of prayers out to that family.” She added: “When I saw her mom kneeling by that lake, my heart just ripped to shreds because I know what she had to be feeling, and it’s horrendous.” (ET)
