Revelstoke men arrested in arson attempt

REVELSTOKE — Revelstoke RCMP have arrested two men who were allegedly throwing ‘Molotov style cocktails’ into a home in the community.

The incident happened just before 3 a.m. today (Aug. 6). A person was home at the time and was able to extinguish the flames before they spread.

Two Revelstoke men were arrested without incident after returning to the scene an hour later.

Revelstoke RCMP forensic specialists were examining the scene this morning. The BC RCMP Southeast District General Investigation Section and Salmon Arm RCMP GIS are assisting in the investigation.
