Financial relief on the way for flood victims

VICTORIA – Disaster assistance is now available for those impacted by flooding this spring and summer. Those living with the City of Kamloops or in Electoral Areas E, I and J of the Thompson-Nicola Regional District, qualify for the funding.
Financial assistance is available to all First Nation communities, electoral areas and municipalities in the areas. It is meant to support homeowners, residential tenants, small business owners, farmers, charitable organizations and local government bodies who could not obtain insurance to cover their losses.
Applications can be submitted to Emergency Management BC by November 3.
