Summer version of Barb’s Used Book and Music Sale to be held in pop-up format
KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Symphony’s fundraising sale will return this month, with a different format for COVID-19 precautions.
A pop-up edition of the Barb’s Used Book and Music Sale is ready to launch next week, after the springtime sale was cancelled due to the pandemic.
The sale first began in 1997 as a passion project of the late Barb Corbishley, who the event is now named after. All money raised goes towards the operating expenses of the Kamloops Symphony, concert productions, and educational programs.
Kamloops Symphony Orchestra Executive Director Daniel Mills says the summer sale begins August 12, and runs Wednesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m – 5 p.m until the end of the month.
