62-year-old man dies in ATV accident outside of Williams Lake

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. – A man is dead after heading out on an ATV ride near Williams Lake.
RCMP say they responded to the call at 1:43 a.m. today (July 24) on the 5000 Block of Ridge Rd. in Big Lake just outside of Williams Lake. According to police, the 62-year-old man had been checking fences along his property when he failed to return. The family of the man proceeded to look for him and came across the crash scene.
The man was found under his ATV. Police say evidence showed that the ATV had driven through a mud hole and rolled over, trapping him underneath.
RCMP and the BC Coroners Services are investigating the incident but say that it does not appear to be suspicious.
