KAMLOOPS — The Columbia Shuswap Regional District Board has joined the growing push to urge people to obey the rules regarding COVID-19 protocols.

At last week’s Board meeting, the Board stressed that now is not the time to let up on the protective measures implemented by the Province’s Medical Health Officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry.

The Board emphasized that people out and about should be wearing masks, especially when social distancing is not possible.

At their meeting July 16, Directors discussed concerns that citizens are becoming too lax with public health recommendations designed to keep transmission rates of the COVID-19 virus low. In addition to wearing a mask, CSRD Directors continue to reinforce all other BC public health directives.
