DASHCAM VIDEO: A first-hand view of a frightening highway crash in the Shuswap

SICAMOUS, B.C. — Newly-shared dashcam video of a highway crash last week in the Shuswap shows how close those involved came to tragedy.

Four people were injured in the six-vehicle collision along the Trans Canada Highway west of Sicamous last Wednesday (July 15).

RCMP say a semi loaded with groceries likely took a curve too quickly and flipped sideways into the oncoming lane.

Dashcam video of the crash was shared to Facebook Sunday by Chad Willox. The driver taking dashcam footage was in the vehicle following Willox.

In sharing the post, Willox called for better training for commercial vehicle drivers and further twinning of the Trans Canada.
