Community organizes car draw for Sa-Hali Secondary Safe Grad
KAMLOOPS — While graduation ceremonies and celebrations will have a different look this year, students at Sa-Hali Secondary School still have a big prize to look forward to.
As part of Safe Grad, the volunteer grad committee from Sa-Hali Secondary has organized a car giveaway. The prize is meant to encourage teens to celebrate their graduation without drinking, or drug use.
Partnering with Smith Chevrolet in Kamloops, volunteers were given a used vehicle for the giveaway. Other community partners who chipped in to spruce up the car include Franco’s Auto Service, Integra Tire, Lordco, R&S Auto Body, Ideal Auto Service & Tires, D&G Tire+Auto Repair, BCAA and Platinum Autosports.
Every student who is graduating from Sa-Hali Secondary this year will be entered in the draw, and the winner’s name will be drawn at the Grand March event (July 26).
