KAMLOOPS — A Kelowna developer is promising to breathe new life into a Kamloops development property long fraught with delays, false starts and unfinished structures.

Traine Construction and Development says it is partnering with rental housing agency Mainline Living and real estate developer Forum to build on the former Hudson’s Bay Landing site along the Summit Connector.

In a news release, Traine says it plans to build 166 rental apartments in a “luxury rental community.”

The company says the project will include studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom units. The development promises to include a fitness centre, lounge and “sprawling outdoor amenities” that take advantage of the property’s vistas.
