Another lawsuit against Kelowna RCMP officer

VANCOUVER — A second woman has filed a lawsuit accusing a Kelowna R-C-M-P officer of grabbing her by the hair and repeatedly slamming her head into the ground.

Documents filed in Supreme Court yesterday allege the incident occurred shortly after the woman left a New Year’s Eve party in 2016. Fiona Read alleges her knee was damaged after she approached Constable Lacey Browning seeking help and she has still not recovered.

A U-B-C nursing student has also filed a lawsuit against Browning alleging she was injured during a wellness check in January that was caught on video. None of the allegations have been proven in court.
