BEYONCE TEAMS UP WITH NAACP: Beyonce‘s BeyGOOD’s Black Business Impact Fund is partnering with the NAACP to assist Black-owned businesses impact by COVID-19. Grants of $10,000 will be offered. “Over the last couple of months, the pandemic and outpours for justice throughout the Black community and across the country has been felt in every imaginable area of our lives, including in how our local businesses continue to operate,” an official statement reads, in part. “The challenges of Black business owners navigating in the climate cannot be understated, as the effects of uprisings across the nation have led to many businesses being placed in dire straits due to damages and other small business needs.” (ET)

Hadid added that she has been quiet on social media because there’s so much going on in the world between COVID-19 and Black Lives Matter. AISHA DEE CALLS FOR MORE DIVERSITY: Aisha Dee wants to see more diversity behind the camera. The Bold Type star shared a message on social media detailing her concerns. “We got to tell a story about a queer Black woman and a lesbian Muslim woman falling in love, but there have never been any queer Black or Muslim writers in the room,” she wrote, referring to her character Kat’s romance with Adena El-Amin (played by Nikohl Boosheri). “In four seasons (48 episodes) we’ve had one Black woman direct two episodes.” Dee added that it took until season three for the show to hire “someone in the hair department who knew how to work with textured hair.” (ET)
