CSRD asks boaters to keep moving around boat launches

KAMLOOPS — The Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) is reminding boaters to move along when they’re using boat launches on Shuswap Lake and other area waterways.

In a bulletin on its website, the CSRD says some people have been mooring their boats at its launches for longer periods of time — even up to several days.

The district’s bylaw governing the matter states mooring boats on CSRD should take place for a maximum of 10 minutes “for loading and unloading purposes only.”

The district asks boaters to follow those rules in order that all boaters can keep access to the docks.
