Tranquille Road project enters Stage Two this week

KAMLOOPS — Drivers on the city’s north shore are being reminded that starting Monday (July 6), construction on the Tranquille Road project will enter Stage 2.

Stage 2 stretches along Tranquille Road from Desmond Street, to Holt Street.

An update from the City of Kamloops states that between tomorrow and July 12, the Desmond and Tranquille intersection will be closed as crews install a new sewer main. During this time, all vehicle traffic will be detoured through Greenfield Avenue, with access to the Brock Shopping Centre detoured from Desmond Street.

Crews are still working on Stage 1 from Southill to Desmond Street to finish restoration work, and install a multi-use pathway.
