Flames destroy travel trailer on Tk’emlups Reserve

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Fire Rescue (KFR) doused a trailer fire Friday morning (July 3) along Shuswap Road on the Tk’emlups Reserve.

The call came in to KFR for a structure fire at around 10:00 a.m.

Firefighters arrived to find a travel trailer on fire.

According to KFR Capt. Ken Hartt, there was no one inside when crews arrived and no one was injured.

“There’s extensive damage. We’ve torn the side off of it to make sure the fire was out and damage is a total loss,” said Hartt.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
