Kamloops golf pros play marathon day to raise funds for ALS
KAMLOOPS — If golf was a genre of music, then what Alec Hubert and Brett Burgeson were doing on Thursday (June 25) at the Kamloops Golf and Country Club could be described as punk rock: hard, fast and in a hurry.
“It’s just hitting the ball, and getting as many rounds in as we can,” Burgeson says.
The two were playing for a good cause. It’s the annual PGA of BC Golfathon for ALS, where pros around the province play as many rounds as possible in a single day to help raise funds for the ALS Society of BC.
