Streamflow advisory lifted for Salmon River, maintained for South Thompson and its tributaries

Jun 23, 2020 | 2:00 PM

VICTORIA — The B.C. River Forecast Centre (RFC) has decided to maintain a high streamflow advisory on the South Thompson River and its tributaries.

In its bulletin posted Tuesday afternoon (June 23), the RFC says flows are still high on the South Thompson and smaller feeder rivers such as the Shuswap River, Adams River and Shuswap Lake.

The agency says it anticipates the flows will remain high through the end of the week, thanks to isolated rainfall events and snowmelt.

Meantime, the RFC has decided to lift the high streamflow advisory previously in place for the Salmon River in the Salmon Arm area.
