KAMLOOPS — A local wine tour company is molding its operation to fit the new COVID-19-related reality – and to begin offering ride-sharing in Kamloops.

According to a news release, TasteFull Excursions has partnered with Richmond-based KABU to begin offering ride-hailing in Kamloops as of July 1.

Since 2014, TasteFull has offered winery tours and other transportation services in the Kamloops area.

In partnering with KABU, the company’s Gordon Stamp-Vincent says TasteFull will be able to address “service gaps for convenient and reliable transportation in Kamloops experienced by residents and visitors alike.”

Stamp-Vincent says KABU will operate seven days a week with limited hours. There will be extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays.

Potential customers can download the KABU app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Meantime, TasteFull says it is also re-launching its tour and shuttle operations.

The company has installed plexiglass shields in two of its buses and will operate with other additional cleaning and physical distancing measures.
