In a news release, Mayor Ken Christian says the moves begin next Monday (June 15) with expanded hours and more fitness options available at the Tournament Capital Centre (TCC).

The following Monday, June 22, the City’s parks department plans to restart splash parks at Riverside Park, Albert McGowan Park, McDonald Park and Westsyde Centennial Park.

Then on June 29, more amenities at the TCC will open and the City will begin taking bookings for certain sports fields, including the NHL-sized ice sheet at McArthur Island Sport and Event Centre.

In a video posted to YouTube, Christian thanks Kamloops residents for their patience and focus on public health during pandemic-related restrictions.
