Dozy trucker crashes along Trans Canada east of Chase

CHASE, B.C. — RCMP say the driver of a semi that rolled Wednesday (June 10) east of Chase may have fallen asleep.
According to a news release from B.C. RCMP Traffic Services spokesman Cpl. Mike Halskov, the truck was travelling along the Trans Canada Highway near Sorrento at about 5:00 a.m.
The truck left the road and hit a rock embankment.
Halskov says the driver, who is a man in his 60s from the Fraser Valley, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
