CSRD Chair reinforces kindness, empathy toward tourists
SALMON ARM, B.C. — The Columbia-Shuswap Regional District is encouraging its residents to be kind and demonstrate empathy to tourists this weekend.
The B.C. government is only booking provincial campsites to B.C. residents this year. Provincial health officers in this province and Alberta are encouraging residents to stay within their own borders while the COVID-19 pandemic is still active.
Even so, Shuswap residents have been seeing many Alberta license plates enjoying the lake already this spring.
In a news release, CSRD Board Chair Kevin Flynn says the district is “ready and eager to welcome our visitors back, when it is safe to do so.”
