SALMON ARM, B.C. — RCMP in Salmon Arm say a stolen truck was recovered after emergency responders were called to help people having a bad drug experience.

According to a news release, RCMP were called to the 9000-block of Highway 97B Tuesday afternoon (June 2). Emergency medical personnel were already on scene, as three people were suffering from medical problems as a result of drug use.

All of those suffering medical issues were treated by B.C. Emergency Health Services personnel.

When police arrived, they discovered the vehicle associated to the people had been reported stolen out of Revelstoke earlier in the afternoon.

Investigators arrested the suspected driver of the vehicle, a 2003 Dodge pickup truck, for possession of a stolen vehicle.

Mounties say the man had multiple warrants for his arrest out of Kamloops, Kelowna and Camrose, Alberta, for property crime, driving offences and breach.
