Quesnel Flying Club to take to the skies in honour of fallen Snowbirds captain

QUESNEL, B.C. — In tribute to Snowbirds Capt. Jennifer Casey, earlier this week the B.C. General Aviation Association took to the skies in the Fraser Valley and Vancouver in her honour.

And in the Cariboo, a tribute flight will take place this weekend.

The Quesnel Flying Club will take to the skies on Saturday, May 23 at 11:00 a.m. to pay tribute to Capt. Casey, the Snowbirds and their mission.

In a release, the Quesnel Flying Club challenges other Central Interior flying clubs to pick up the torch.

Capt. Casey died in a plane crash in Kamloops last weekend. She was taking part in the Snowbirds’ Operation Inspiration, a series of flights across the country aimed at boosting morale amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
