Man with weapon arrested on Tk’emlups reserve Wednesday; chief concerned about increase in crime
KAMLOOPS — The Tk’emlups te Secwepemc are informing their membership that a man with a weapon was arrested on the Tk’emlups reserve Tuesday night (May 5).
In a news release issued Wednesday, Chief Rosanne Casimir says the man was apprehended on Dakota Road, near the area north of the George Campbell subdivision.
Casimir says the man had a weapon, but was arrested by Kamloops Rural RCMP without incident.
Casimir notes she and her council are concerned about “an increase in criminal activity including drug trafficking and home and vehicle break-ins.”
