From the vault: Kamloops Jardine Blazers become first local team to win KIBIHT

KAMLOOPS — In the last couple weeks, Earl Seitz has taken us all back in time during this pandemic, looking at some of the most signficant moments in Kamloops sports history.

One of those great moments happened 26 years ago during Easter weekend. Until recently, the Kamloops International Bantam Ice Hockey Tournament was held on Easter weekend. In the first 25 years, local teams were shut out of winning the tournament as hosts. But in 1994, that all changed.
