Province urges travellers to stay home; 34 new cases, two deaths announced

VICTORIA β Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry is urging British Columbians to stay home this long weekend.
This comes as Henry announced 34 new test-positive cases of COVID-19 in the province along with two more deaths in the Lower Mainland Thursday (Apr. 9).
That brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in B.C. to 1,370 and the death toll has now reached 50.
There have been no new cases in the Interior Health region in the past 24 hours, Henry said during her daily news conference.
