Wildfire near Chase being held at two hectares

CHASE, B.C. — Provincial wildfire crews have gained the upper hand on the Chief Jules Way wildfire.

BC Wildfire Service says in a tweet that the fire, roughly three kilometres northeast of Chase, is now being classified as held at two hectares.

Personnel are on scene today to extinguish any hot spots within the fire perimeter.

Yesterday (Apr. 7), BC Wildfire said the fire was likely caused by human activity.
