KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops construction sector hummed right along last month, in spite of restrictions put in place after the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Month-end totals published by the City of Kamloops show it issued $16.9 million in permits in March, up slightly from March of 2019.
That brings the year-to-date total for the first quarter of 2020 to $46.7 million. That’s 45 per cent higher than at this point last year.
Last month’s totals were boosted by more than $9 million in multi-family housing starts.
