VICTORIA – B.C. Premier John Horgan went to the airwaves for a province-wide address on the COVID-19 pandemic Tuesday evening. John Horgan used the opportunity to ask residents to support the effort to reduce the transmission of the virus.

Horgan stressed that the next 14 days will be crucial if British Columbia is going to be successful in slowing the spread. Provincial health officials have been calling on citizens to do their part to bend the curve and allow B.C. hospitals to handle the pandemic.

The premier reminded the public to respect the two metre physical distance guidelines and asked them to stay at home as much as possible.

Horgan’s appearance comes after provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry announced 43 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the province’s total to 1,013.
