Snowfall warning in effect for Coquihalla Highway

MERRITT, B.C. — Up to 25 centimetres of snow could fall on the Hope to Merritt stretch of the Coquihalla Highway today.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the area, with some locations already reporting five to 10 centimetres.

Heavy snow began hitting mountain passes on Friday (March 27).

Drivers are urged to check DriveBC for the latest road conditions.
