OTTAWA – Starting Monday at noon, anyone who shows symptoms related to COVID-19 will not be allowed to board any domestic flights or trains.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says all Canadians are being asked to remain home as much as possible in an effort to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus, but in particular, those with symptoms of COVID-19 should not go out. Those symptoms include fever and cough.

Trudeau made the announcement during his daily COVID-19 briefing from his Rideau cottage home, saying Canadians need to “keep it up.”

He concedes there are some small signs that social distancing and staying home are having a positive effect on the spread of COVID-19.
