Kamloops Elizabeth Fry Society perseveres amid pandemic

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops and District Elizabeth Fry Society wants to remind local residents that its services are still available.

According to a news release, the society’s offices closed to the public March 17 due to the spread of COVID-19.

However, the organization says many services, including legal advice, are still offered via telephone and video.

The society notes the Kamloops Rent Bank, which offers low interest loans up to $1,500 for those who need it to pay the rent, is still in operation.
