KAMLOOPS — The Canadian Collegiate Baseball Conference, like many other leagues and sports has decided to ‘pause’ it’s 2020 Spring season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The decision was made following a conference call among the league teams on Monday night (Mar 16).

According to Pack head coach Ray Chadwick, the teams agreed for the safety of their players and the public, this was the best course of action to take.

The CCBC will have a conference call March 26th to draft up a schedule for the Fall.

In the meantime, the respective teams will talk to their boards about the proposal to play league games in the fall for the first time.

Eligibility modifications for first year and fifth year athletes will also be reviewed at that time

The WolfPack have seven graduating players this Spring: Taylor Van Ham (Medicine Hat, AB), Zac Comeault (Maple Ridge, BC), Tyler Hodder and Josh Iannetti (Fort McMurray, AB) and three Kamloops BC products: Connor McKenzie, Bryant Jameus and Joe Davis.

A number of the TRU players are planning to stay in the area this summer and play for the Kamloops Sun Devils whenever their season begins.
