Coronavirus is affecting everyone, even celebs in Hollywood. Here’s the latest.

TOM & RITA
Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson were the first major stars to publicly say they tested positive for coronavirus. They are keeping their spirits up and their sense of humor intact while waiting it out in a hospital in Queensland, Australia.

Hanks wrote on social media: “Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?”

On Friday, Wilson joked: “From here on out, the only Corona I want is from Mexico and you drink it.”

HEIDI KLUM

On Friday, supermodel Heidi Klum shared that she is taking extra health precautions due to coronavirus. Home sick with a fever, she was unable to get a test for the virus.

“I would love to do the corona test but there just isn’t one here,” she explained. “I’ve tried with two different doctors and I just can’t get one.”

Later, the 46-year-old noted that she and husband Tom Kaulitz are keeping their distance, while finally getting tested for coronavirus. The America’s Got Talent star shared a video of them kissing each other through glass.

ORLANDO BLOOM

Orlando Bloom and his Carnival Row team are leaving Prague after Amazon nixed production, he said on Instagram, adding that he would go into self-quarantine in the U.S. His fianc Katy Perry, meanwhile, left Australia Friday and canceled interviews to go home. She had been scheduled to perform at a bushfire relieve concert. She and Bloom are expecting their first child together.

AMY SCHUMER

Comedian Amy Schumer, meanwhile, is tossing her diet and exercise plans in a bid to practice “social distancing,” she said on Instagram.

She joked: “Hey guys, so I just found out that me going to the gym today was canceled. You guys know I love going to the gym but I can’t make it. It’s canceled.”

And eating better? Nope: “And uh, yeah, worst of all I was supposed to kind of eat better today and that’s been canceled.”

LALA KENT

Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent joked that she was going to get coronavirus for a publicity boost.

She said on Instagram Story: “So, I may get in trouble for this but it’s okay. I just don’t feel that God would give me coronavirus before I get married. I just don’t see that happening to me. Let’s just say I do get it before my wedding. I feel like that means that God is like, ‘Bitch. You need a little publicity.’ That’s the only way I would get it I feel.”

Kent is set to marry The Irishman producer Randall Emmett on April 18th in Newport Beach, CA.

CHARO

Spanish-American performer has posted a video advocating for proper handwashing techniques.

In the video, the Love Boat star proposes an alternative to the standard counting of “Mississippi’s” to mark the duration of an appropriate period of hand cleansing; it involves replacing Mississippi with “cuchi-cuchi.”

CANCELLATIONS

As concern over coronavirus continues to gain steam, a number of shows and movies have been canceled or postponed. BTS, Haim, Miley Cyrus concerts have all been nixed, as have large-scale shows and exhibits, including Broadway performances and Walt Disney resorts.

Nickelodeon has postponed the 2020 Kids Choice Awards and PaleyFest 2020 has been bumped.

Production on The Bachelorette, The Morning Show, Grey’s Anatomy, Russian Doll and The Prom have also been halted. Netflix has halted all North American productions.

Releases and premiers of Fast & Furious 9, Little Fires Everywhere, The Lovebirds, No Time To Die, Peter Rabbit 2 and A Quiet Place II have also been delayed.

Theater chains, including AMC Theatres and Regal, have slashed movie seating capacity in half to keep people safe and curb the spread of coronavirus. AMC will not allow more than 250 people in any auditorium.

The Hollywood Reporter estimates that the fallout could total $20 billion for Hollywood. More than 168,000 people have been diagnosed with more than 6,400 deaths.
