Pipeline Funded Dog Park Opens

KAMLOOPS – Dog owners have a new area to roam with their pooches. The City says the park along Aviation Way and Tranquille Road is open today.

Benches, fences and dog bags have been installed. And when weather permits, lighting and water fountains will be added. Turf will also be improved later this spring.

The park will act as a replacement for the Ord Road dog park when it closes March 23rd. The park is being temporarily closed while work gets underway on the Trans Mountain pipeline.

Once pipeline work is completed, the Ord Road park will be restored and the area will have two dog parks to choose from.
