School District sticking with one-week spring break — for now
KAMLOOPS — School District 73’s Board of Education approved its three-year school calendar at Monday night’s meeting, sticking with a one-week spring break.
The School District was hearing that most families wanted to shift back to a two-week spring break.
Because of its current contract with the Kamloops Thompson Teachers Association (KTTA) and CUPE, the board was unable to make that change.
However, Board Chair Kathleen Karpuk says the board is in discussions with the KTTA and a two-week break is not out of the question.
