Pedestrian survives being hit by train near Ashcroft

ASHCROFT, B.C. — One person is in critical condition after being hit by a train near Ashcroft.

According BC Emergency Health Services (EHS), paramedics were called to a spot 10 kilometres outside of Ashcroft at 12:45 p.m. Friday (Mar. 6).

The incident, between a pedestrian and the train, resulted in several paramedic crews responding, including an air ambulance out of helicopter.

EHS says one patient was taken to hospital by air ambulance in critical condition.
