Blockade on Neskonlith rail tracks is back

KAMLOOPS — It didn’t take long for a rail blockade to be re-established on the CP rail tracks near Chase.
After a blockade was set up, and then removed, last Thursday (Feb. 20), it appears the blockade was set up again Monday night. Pictures and videos posted on social media show protesters gathered around a fire next to the tracks. It is across the highway from the Neskonlith Band Hall.
The blockade, according to the posts, is in support of the Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs in their fight against the establishment of the Coastal GasLink pipeline.
