AGREEMENT REACHED

Deal between TRU, faculty members finalized

KAMLOOPS — Less than one month after reaching a tentative agreement, the Thompson Rivers University Faculty Association (TRUFA) and TRU have ratified their deal.

The province says in a news release that the mandate focuses on improving services for people and ensuring fair and affordable compensation.

The agreement is a three-year term beginning April 1, 2019.

It includes general wage increases of two per cent each year and negotiated adjustments to the compensation structure to attract and retain “high-performing” faculty.
