Man survives being hit by train in downtown Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — A man was rushed to hospital after he was hit by a train in downtown Kamloops Wednesday night (Feb. 19).

The incident happened at about 6:30 p.m., along the CP tracks parallel to Victoria Street West near the Overlanders Bridge.

According to B.C. Emergency Health Services (EHS), several paramedic units were dispatched to scene.

Advanced life support paramedics treated the man on scene before he was taken to hospital in serious condition.

CP police are investigating.
