Pier 1 Imports to close all Canadian stores including Kamloops location

KAMLOOPS — Home decor retailer Pier 1 Imports has announced it is closing all Canadian stores while it files for bankruptcy protection.

In a news release, Pier 1 says it has closed or initiated going-out-of-business sales at more than 400 locations.

The Canadian closures include the Kamloops location located in the Walmart plaza on Hillside Drive.

Payless Shoe Source was located near the Pier 1 location before it also closed up shop last year.
