KAMLOOPS — The Transportation Safety Board (TSB) says it has decided against pursuing an investigation into a plane crash that injured a pilot in Merritt earlier this week.
A small plane crashed at Merritt Airport Sunday evening (Feb. 9). It wasn’t immediately discovered until a missing person investigation was launched for the pilot early Monday morning.
The pilot, a man in his 60s from Merritt, was transported to hospital with serious injuries. RCMP said he was still in hospital Wednesday (Feb. 12) but was expected to survive.
In an update Thursday, the TSB says it has gathered some preliminary information about the incident, and after reviewing that information, has decided not to pursue it further.
