KAMLOOPS — A team from Thompson Rivers University (TRU) successfully defended its CFA Societies Provincial Ethics Challenge. It beat out teams from the University of B.C. and the University of Victoria at the competition held last week at the Segal Graduate School of Business in Vancouver.

The team is made up of Guylene Shaw, Alokesh Barai, Sa’adiy Bello Mikailu, Lakshmi Bhavani Chintala, and Julia Clapp.

It is the third consecutive win at the provincial level for TRU. And it allows the school to defend its 2019 national championship when it is held May 1st in Montreal.

The Ethics Challenge asks teams to analyze and evaluate a case study, identifying ethical dilemmas according to the CFA Institute Code of Ethics & Standards of Professional Conduct.
