KAMLOOPS — The body representing the Kamloops business community is expressing its support for the Kamloops Centre for the Arts (KCA) proposal.
In a letter to Kamloops Mayor Ken Christian, Kamloops Chamber of Commerce President Joshua Knaak says the chamber is “proudly in support” of the $70 million project proposed for downtown Kamloops.
Knaak notes the business case for the KCA proves that existing performing arts venues are not able to meet community demands.
He touts the economic impact of the project, including 565 construction jobs and 31 ongoing direct or indirect jobs.
