B.C. Unemployment still the best

KAMLOOPS — Statistics Canada says the economy added 34-thousand, 500 jobs last month, as the unemployment rate ticked down.
The number of full-time jobs rose by almost 36-thousand in January, while part-time employment fell by 12-hundred.
The manufacturing, construction and agriculture sectors saw gains, while employment fell in health care and social assistance.
Unemployment fell a tenth of a percentage point to 5.5 per cent.
B.C’s unemployment rate sits at 4.8 percent. That’s the best in the country and is one-tenth of a point lower than the rate the month previous.
